Introduction
The Department of Modern and Contemporary World History pays special attention to truly universal history, stressing international correlations even in subjects concerned with the history of a particular nation, adapting to the world history or global history trends prominent since the 1980s. Transcending the traditional European-centric perspective the studies of our students and research of lecturers extend to the Middle-East, Africa, East-Asia, the United States, and Latin-America as well. The chronological boundaries of our advertised topics range from the era of the French revolution to the present day.
